As Wirra WirraÕs Angelus Bell rang in the 2004 vintage, the international Ònaming policeÓ targeted Wirra Wirra about the noenclature of their flagship cabernet sauvignon (whose name is shared by the aforeÐmentioned bell and an old world chateau). As good law abiding bellÐringers Wirra Wirra acquiesced when challenged and the wine is now known as Deadringer. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon this is a fresh and exceptionally varietal wine with lifted blackcurrant leaf and cedar notes on the nose integrated with some toasty oak. The palate is refined and elegant with plenty of persistent fine grained tannins and fresh mulberries. Drink upon release and 10Ð15 years from vintage.
